Refund Policy

Last updated: May 9, 2026 · Applies to the United States.

Summary

THEAX is a non-refundable monthly subscription by default, but we offer three clear windows for legitimate cases: automatic refund in the first 7 days with no usage, manual review between 7 and 14 days, and no refund window after 14 days or after a lifetime refund has been used.

This policy complies with the California Automatic Renewal Law (ARL) and FTC practices. Currently applies to United States users only.

Window 1 — Automatic refund (≤ 7 days)

We process a full refund instantly, with no human review, if all of these are true:

  • 7 days or less have passed since the most recent charge.
  • You created zero Blueprints in the cycle starting with that charge.
  • You used zero regenerations.
  • You consumed less than 2 minutes of voice in the cycle.
  • You created no Memory Trainer projects since the charge.
  • This is your first refund request on this account (1 per account, lifetime).

When all apply, click "Request refund" on your subscription screen and we confirm in seconds. The charge reverses on your card within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank. Your account drops to the Free plan immediately.

Window 2 — Manual review (7 to 14 days)

If you don't qualify for automatic refund but fewer than 14 days have passed, you can submit a manual request with a brief explanation. Typical cases:

  • Between 7 and 14 days have passed since the charge.
  • Less than 7 days but you used the product (created a Blueprint, etc.).
  • You've already used your lifetime auto-refund and want to request another.

We reply by email within 1 to 3 business days. The decision is at THEAX's discretion and considers: actual product usage, reason for the request, account history, and internal margin policies.

Window 3 — No refund

We do not process refunds in these cases:

  • More than 14 days have passed since the most recent charge.
  • Your account already used its lifetime refund (auto or manually approved).
  • You're on the Free plan (nothing to refund).
  • Your account is flagged for fraudulent or abusive use.

If you think an edge case deserves consideration, contact us, the policy exists to be transparent, not to block genuine cases.

How the refund works

  1. The refund is processed via Stripe (our payment processor).
  2. The charge reverses on your original payment method, we can't refund to a different method.
  3. Your subscription is canceled immediately: you lose access to the paid plan instantly.
  4. Your account drops to the Free plan; you can re-subscribe anytime.
  5. If you used a creator partner code, that partner's commission is reversed automatically.

Cancellation vs refund

Canceling your subscription prevents the next cycle's charge but doesn't refund the current charge, you keep access until the end of the paid cycle. Done from "Manage subscription in Stripe" on your subscription screen.

Requesting a refund is the process above: reverses the charge + cancels immediately. Two separate flows.

Disputes with your bank

If you've already initiated a dispute (chargeback) with your card, we can't process the refund on our side, the bank resolves the case directly. We recommend contacting us before initiating a dispute: we can usually resolve faster.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change. Any change applies to charges made after the update date (shown at the top of the page). Earlier charges are evaluated under the version in effect at the time of the charge.
